What is Curatorial Membership?

Curatorial Membership is an invitation to join a carefully considered professional community built around craftsmanship, integrity, and the enduring importance of original art.

The House of Stefani Curatorial Program supports working artists in developing strong, sustainable professional practices through resources, education, guidance, critique, and community.

Whether you are strengthening the foundations of your practice, refining how you present and communicate your work, navigating professional relationships, or planning the next stage of your career, Curatorial Membership provides structure and informed support for thoughtful professional growth.

Members gain access to the House of Stefani Professional Resource Library, professional-practice education, practical tools, guided development, and a community of artists committed to serious and enduring work.

Most importantly, Members become part of a community that believes professionalism and craftsmanship are every bit as important as artistic talent.

Professional development, independent of gallery curation

Curatorial Membership and Stefani Art Gallery's curatorial program are intentionally distinct.

Membership fees support the professional-development services, resources, education, guidance, and community provided through the House of Stefani Curatorial Program. They do not purchase exhibition opportunities, gallery representation, collector introductions, editorial coverage, sales, or preferential curatorial consideration.

Stefani Art Gallery maintains an independent curatorial process. Artists do not need to participate in the House of Stefani Curatorial Program to be considered for exhibition or representation.

Participation status, membership level, and fees paid are not considered in any Stefani Art Gallery curatorial decision.

Any invitation to exhibit or enter gallery representation is made independently by Stefani Art Gallery and is governed by a separate agreement.

Membership supports the artist's professional practice.
Curatorial selection remains with the Gallery.

The House of Stefani Professional Resource Library

Professional knowledge should not take decades to find.

At the center of Curatorial Membership is the House of Stefani Professional Resource Library, an expanding body of practical guidance created for working artists.

The Library addresses the realities of building an enduring artistic practice: pricing, galleries, collectors, professional relationships, contracts, inventory, provenance, career records, artistic identity, professional writing, financial sustainability, presentation, documentation, and long-term development.

Resources are designed not simply to inform, but to be used.

Guides are supported by practical exercises, worksheets, checklists, and Putting This Into Practice sections that help Members translate knowledge into action.

Knowledge in service of an enduring life in the arts.

Choose the level of support that fits your practice

Curatorial Membership is offered at three levels based upon the depth of professional support desired. Membership level reflects the services provided by House of Stefani. It does not indicate artistic standing, gallery status, or curatorial preference.

Art deserves thoughtful stewardship. Artists deserve professional support. Collectors deserve meaningful relationships.

That is the community we are building.
— Christina Stefani
